M1 chip is awesome. – Upgraded from a Mac Mini (2010) to the new Mini M1. Flawless transition and amazing speed along with the new features of Monterey. The only cons are moving to 64 bit program I was unable to use some of my old apps, no disc drive to access my old files (installed a external DVD drive) and no option to upgrade ram at a later date (chose 16 GB ram). Despite these cons I’m still very satisfied with the product and expect to enjoy it as long as I did my original mini.

The M1 is a killer, the RAM and storage not so much – It was time to buy into the M1 hype for me. And oh boy, this stuff is fire. Everything is great for me except that you can’t have more than 16 GB of RAM with the M1 or more than 2 TB. Upgrading storage is expensive. So if you need more to store files, then buy an external SSD instead. Overall I’m happy with my purchase so far. I’ll update this review if needed.

16 GB machine runs great – I can open multiple memory intensive apps (like Neo4j, Anaconda, or iMovie) and everything runs smooth and fast. More ports would have been nice…

I’m very happy with it – A very fast, compact, capable Mac. Since I already had a mouse, keyboard and monitor all I had to do is plug it all together to replace my old, obsolete MacPro. This seems like the cheapest way to get a lot of performance. I’m very happy with it.
