Wow – So Easy to Install – I woke up one morning but my 3 TB HD on my 27″ iMac didn’t. Even though I had a Time Machine Backup I thought I was going to have to buy a new computer. While looking at OWC website for thuderbolt devices, I saw OWC’s iMac HDD replacement kit. After watching their instruction video a couple of times, I said I could do this so I ordered the 4 TB replacement kit. After it came in, it only took about an hour to install and it’s working better than ever; and I’m no computer teck. I highly recommend this product.

It’s Easier Than I Thought – I was very apprehensive about cutting open my iMac, but my hard drive had failed. I recommend getting someone to help with the re-assembly, since it’s hard to keep the iMac still while you try to align the edges of the display with the computer. I managed to do it myself, and it looks as good as new.

Easy to install and worth buying the kit – This was pretty easy to install as long as you take your time. The hardest part was reinstalling the tape on the edges but as long as you take your time and are precise with the placement you should have no issues. It might help to have a friend connect the cables while you hold the screen in place before laying it back down onto the new tape.
